Aisle Seats in the Shade by 3pm

    Jun 2012

    Section 120, Row 13, Seats 1,2

These tickets were purchased for a 3:00 game on a smoldering hot day in early June. Seats on the first base line are entirely shaded for nite games, but the same can't be said for day games. We showed up at about 2:15 and sections 20 and higher were in the shade. Every five minutes or so, the next low row would be in the shade. This particular row (13) was entirely in the shade by 3:00. Food options nearby rival the best stadium food in any sporting venue. Polish sausages, loaded baked potatoes, mexican food, pizza, plenty of deserts - you name it - it's all close to this section. You are very close to the field (and close to field level from a height perspective) in these seats. The only complaint is the angle towards home plate. You do have to contort your body to the left to see home plate. Seats 1 and 2 are on the aisle away from home plate (close to section 121 than 119). Beware of foul balls in this section too.

    Shade by 3pm

    Jun 2012

    Section 120, Row 13, Seats 1-2

Great seats behind the visitor dugout. Shade by 3pm, which was a real blessing on this scorcher of a day @ 86 degrees. Very tasty shaved ice stand at top of section helped us keep cool, too. Restrooms were close and ramp for exit was right there, too. Would definitely return to this section.

Front of sections 108-156 are behind the netting

There is some amount of netting or screening in front of all lower level sections in foul territory. The height and coverage of netting or screening will vary by section.

    • Lower Box Seats

      -

On the White Sox seating chart, sections closest to the field are known as Lower Box seats. This includes sections 111-153.   Boxes Near the Infield   Lower Boxes near the infield and behind home plate have a number of different names, including Diamond Box, Platinum Box and Gold Box. Despite having different names, these seats have similar experiences.   The Sox dugout is located in front of sections 137-142, while the visitors sit in front of 122-127. Row 5 in these sections is the actual first row behind the dugout.   Sections 130-134 are directly behind home plate and behind the Scout Seats, which occupy the first 12-15 rows.   Boxes Down the Line    Sections down the line are known as Lower Boxes or Lower Box Corners. Again, this distinction is meaningless.  The biggest complaint with seating down the lines at Guaranteed Rate Field is the angle towards home plate. Seats further down the line face the outfield too much and will have you turning your body to see the batter-pitcher exchange. To make the angle less severe, consider sitting in a higher row. Your view will be more comfortable and you will be closer to the concourse. Additional Notes  Seats on the first-base/right-field side are shaded first, while seats down the left-field line will have the best view of the star board in right-field. Netting has been added down the lines which severely limits the foul balls in sections 116-118 and 146-148 (previously foul ball havens). Most sections in this area include 35-38 rows of seats with the higher rows being covered by the Club Level. And most rows have fewer than ten seats per row (exceptions include sections close to the foul poles).

    • Recommended For Kids and Family

      -

Seats are shaded and covered to protect from the sun and rain. Little-to-no stairs to walk to reach restrooms, concessions and other amenities. Lower level seating provides access to more amenities and better views of the game

      (Section 136) - -

These were great seats behind sox on deck circle. Great view slightly to left of home plate. Aisle made seats easy to get in and out of. Also good seats to catch a ball or tshirt. We had a couple foul balls near us and almost caught a tshirt from top of sox dugout. Perfect for family, impressing cli...
