  • Section 426 Reviews

Obstructed view of Plate & Mound

    Oct 2018

    Baseball Review
    Section 426, Row 11, Seat 1

I was extremely disappointed these seats weren’t listed as obstructed view. Could not see a thing unless I leaned all the way to the very edge of my seat and leaned over. If you sit in this section do not sit in row 11 seats 1 or 2!!

    • Grandstand Infield (Baseball)

      -

Grandstand Infield seating is an inexpensive way to catch a Yankees game. In fact, the grandstand seats behind home plate (Sections 419-421) are one of only two seating areas where you can get a home plate view without paying for club seats. These are highly recommended for fans who want a view of the entire field without spending Suite-level prices. For shade, opt for seats on the third base side (e.g.: 423-426) or in the upper half (rows 8 and up). The roof covers the upper two-thirds of these sections and the seats listed above will be shaded first.  Fans have complained about the plexiglass obstructing views in Rows 1 and 2. The safety glass is there so fans walking down the stairs don't tumble over the railing. If you think this would be a distraction, you might want to avoid the first two rows.

    • Grandstand Seating

      -

Grandstand Seating at Yankee Stadium includes all 400 Level sections. These sections comprise the upper deck and are the farthest seats from the field. Yankees tickets in these sections tend to be the cheapest option outside of Standing Room Only. Where to Sit on the Grandstand Level  There are three primary considerations when purchasing Grandstand tickets. If you want a comfortable view of the entire field, opt for seats behind home plate. You'll be able to see everything, including the scoreboards in center-field. Guests with mobility issues should steer clear of these seats or choose the lowest row possible. These sections can only be accessed by a staircase. From there you have to climb more stairs to reach higher rows. Finally, when the weather is a factor, you may want to look for a shaded or covered seat. The top rows of the Grandstand are covered by the roof. And seats behind home plate have some of the stadium's most abundant shade.

      (Section 416) - -

I personally judge seats on the view of the action. Aside from being able to tell if a ball is going out of the park or will just barely reach the wall, the seats are good for the view. I got a great deal on these seats, which makes me even happier about the view, considering how expensive tickets...
