Are there shaded and covered seats at Surprise Stadium?
Asked February 17, 2025
At Surprise Stadium, several seating areas provide shade and cover, offering relief from the sun during games. The Upper Dugout sections (201–205) are fully covered by a roof, which also creates an overhang that shades the back rows of the Lower Dugout sections (107–112), with rows N and above benefiting the most.
The Upper Dugout structure also shields seats in the Lower Dugout sections (101–112), though coverage varies depending on the section and time of day. By the typical 1:05 PM start time, most seats from home plate through the first-base dugout are shaded for the rest of the game. Meanwhile, on the third-base side, sections 103, 105, 107, 109, and 111 gradually become shaded, reaching full coverage later in the afternoon.
