Seat Ratings Mentioning Shade/Cover
"Only covered row behind this endzone" - ★★★
Section 40, Row 38, Seat 13
Row 38 behind the south end zone at Sun Devil Stadium has some extra added perks that I wasn't expecting. First, it's important to note that all the sections behind the south end zone feature bleacher style seating meaning that none of the seats are all that comfortable. The exception being row 38! In row 38, the bleacher are placed all the way against the cement wall of the stadium which basically acts as a make shift chair back for people sitting in this row. Additionally, there is a slight overhang that covers only this row. This is perfect for avoiding the sun at the beginning of the game or keeping you dry in the unfortunate case of rain. I will admit that the view at times was a little difficult from this section, but I think this just comes with the territory of sitting behind one of the end zones. ...More
"Terrible for first quarter... then great!" - ★★★★
Section 28, Row 34, Seat 5
Heads up, sun will be in your eyes sitting on this side of the stadium until about 6:15pm. When I realized this, I was already inside the stadium without a hat and/or sunglasses to block out the beaming rays. I ended up just moving to the opposite side of the stadium to an open seat until the sun went down. Once the sun was tucked away and the stadium lights illuminated the field, it was like a night and day difference (pun intended). I loved sitting in section 28. I had a perfect view of both end zones and I was high enough in the section that no one's big head blocked my view. If you can make it through the first quarter of sun, you will be very happy with these seats. ...More
