Best Seat for a Good View Without Being Crowded

    Apr 2019

    Concert Review
    Section 106, Row C, Seat 1

This upper-level seat is perfect for an up-close view without being crowded in a section like a floor. This specific seat and row add visibility to those seated here, as I found that the lighting shone on this area. To the right of this seat is a staircase that security prevents people from loitering on, so it's perfect for an unobstructed view. Plus restrooms and refreshments are a quick trip up the stairwell and back unless there are lines. These pictures are from The Millennium Tour 2019. The first one is not in zoom, the second one is slightly zoomed.

    • Harrah's Cherokee Casino Club

      -

The Harrah's Cherokee Casino Club access is one of the premium clubs at State Farm Arena. Fans sitting along the west sideline for Atlanta Hawks games will be treated to some of the greatest views of the game from the sideline along with all-inclusive food, beer, and wine. Ticket holders in the double-lettered rows of sections 106-110 will have access to the club (excluding 107/AA, 108AA-BB, 109/AA). The menu is crafted by Chef Joe Schafer to mix a culinary experience with basketball.  While the club and food is great, the view to the game is equally as impressive. Located along the sidelines on the lower level, all the action is in clear view to catch all the big moments of the game.  For a similar experience without the all-inclusive amenities check out the Players Club located on the opposite side of the court.

    • Lower Level Corner (Basketball)

      -

Corner sections are an inexpensive way to experience Hawks basketball from the lower level. If you're attracted to the ticket price in these seats, carefully consider the section you want to sit in. While tickets in sections 101, 106, 110 and 117 seem like good deals (relative to sideline seating), the first ten rows in these sections should be strongly re-considered. For the best views, avoid double-letter rows and rows A-F. These lower rows have terrible angles towards mid-court and will force you to turn your neck all night to see the action on the court. As an alternative, choose one of the higher rows in these sections or choose a different section altogether. The remaining corner sections are further away, but also have a slightly better angle toward the action on the court. The biggest options to weigh when sitting in this location are proximity and comfort.

    • Lower Level Side (Concert)

      -

Because the stage for most end-stage concerts at Philips Arena is set back farther than usual, side seating on the lower level offers fans sitelines from nearly every seat. Even sections 106 and 121, which typically offer an extreme side view, provide an excellent look to the stage. Because most of the seats in this area are very good, you'll have to balance your budget with how close you want to be to the stage. Just keep in mind that the closer you are to the front row, the more you might have to turn your head to see the stage. For the best combination of a good view, good accessibility and a fair price, we recommend being about 15 rows up (near Row P) and two or three sections away from the stage (e.g.: 107/108).
