"Better than Row 1"

Seat Review From Section 8, Row 4, Seat 7
Apr 2014

Comments

These seats are right down the left-field line, in home-run territory. A ton of fun to be in before the game starts during batting practice. You're really close to the field and have a chance to interact a bit with the players during warmups.

In terms of seeing the game and the field, the view is pretty good. You can see home plate really well and you have the best views of anyone on balls hit into left-field. The first few rows have some major issues with the annoying railing, but it is less disruptive by Row 4.

The biggest problem with outfield seats at Rangers Ballpark is seeing all of the deepest parts of the outfield. That's the case in these seats too. You have to stand to see what's going on on the warning track and up against the fence.

Overall, pretty good seats. Bring the kids here before the game for batting practice, or sit here during the game and try to snag a real home run. Just beware of the sun -- it can get hotttt!

Best for... watching the game, bringing the family, being close to the action, Catching a home run

Avoid if... you do not want a sun burn

Shady seats

May 2011

Section 8, Row 18, Seats 1-3

Seats were shady which is good....out of rain............just disappointed that I did not get to enjoy the game because of the storms and they started the game back at 1130pm and I understood the game was not going to be played so we left at 945.......TOTALLY PISSED OFF AND LADY TODAY WHEN I CALLED WAS SO RUDE.....THE GAME WAS FINISHED AND THAT'S JUST HOW BASBALL WORKS?? SCHOOL NITE....DISAPPOINTED.

Missing a lot in these seats

Apr 2014

Section 8, Row 24, Seat 4

You feel like you're missing a lot when sitting in these seats. They're 100% covered from the sun and potential rain, but that also gives these seats a cave-like feel. They're about 15-20 degrees cooler than nearby seats, which is probably ideal during afternoon games in July. But earlier in the season, you may want to find more exposed seats with a better view. Because of the cover and overhang, you don't have a view of the videoboard and there aren't any other stat-boards easily visible. It's tough keeping track of balls, strikes and even the score when sitting here. There are poles in Row 23 of Section 8 and Section 9, making it a gamble to sit in Row 24. In fact, Seat 5, just to the right of this one, is obstructed by a pole and you have no view of home plate. Overall, good seats for someone who is sensitive to the sun or for families who want cover and want to be close to concessions. But tray aiming for Row 20 or so. You'll get a partial view of the videoboard, won't have to gamble with a pole and will still be covered.

  • "Best"

    (Section 47) - -

Always shaded, for afternoon or night game. Section 47 is right next to rangers bullpen and close to restroom. First row gets sun.

  • "Minnesota Twins at Texas Rangers - Aug 18, 2019"

    (Section 47) - -

These seats are in the shaded section of the park and back just a bit from all the commotion at the rail. Easy to access and quite cool on a 100F day.

  • "Great in the shade"

    (Section 45) - -

These were perfect for a day game in August. The crowd was great and we stayed out of the sun.
