Greek Theatre - Berkeley Lawn Seats

A unique way to take in a show at the Greek Theatre is on the steep lawn located behind the main seating bowl. This is a small general admission seating area with decent views, but some definite drawbacks.

First, the slope of the lawn is severe. The closer you are to the front, the less it slopes. Getting there as early as possible will make it easier to get a flatter spot.

Second, the venue acoustics are designed for the traditional theatre bowl - not the extended lawn seating. Sound quality suffers on the top of the lawn as a result.

If you can put up with the intricacies of the lawn, make sure to bring a blanket and get your spot reserved early. Once set up, you'll find concessions and restrooms easily accessible nearby.
