Features & Amenities
Enjoy a more relaxing atmosphere with room to spread out when you take in a performance from the Lawn at Ruoff Music Center. The views are behind the back of the pavilion, and you'll have to contend with the support beams blocking some of the sightlines. For this reason, video monitors mounted near the back of the pavilion are there help you follow everything happening on stage.
Best Place to Sit on the Lawn
The lawn section at Ruoff Music center is a wide stretch of grass with a variety of views. We recommend sitting towards the center for better views and sound. The front of the lawn is separated from the pavilion by a small walkway. Views are be best and closest from the front of the lawn at the top of the steps of the walkway, but it may require standing to see the stage.
Accessible Lawn
On the left side of the Lawn is a dedicated accessible seating area. There is a flat (non-grassy) area that has space for wheelchairs and companion seating.
Other Lawn Notes
- Low sitting lawn chairs are permitted
- No taller than nine inches
- Lawn section is a more social area where many people will be both standing and sitting
- Ruoff Music Center allows you to bring lawn chairs to the venue
Depending on the day, the lawn section offers the best opportunity to view the sunset since you will be located a bit further from the stage. You will have the chance to see a sunset develop behind the stage.
