    Covered from above

    Sep 2013

    Football Review
    Section 225, Row 4, Seat 17

I've seen a lot of horrific views from the 200 level at FedEx Field, but row 4 in section 225 was not one of them. I had clear unobstructed views of all areas of the field from right around the goal line, and at the same time the seat was covered by the overhanging club level deck just above. From what I could see, most of the seats in rows 3 and higher of the the 200 level sections on this sideline were all well protected from the elements. The seats faced straight across the field so I had to look to the right for a good portion of the game, but it wasn't an issue. The guard railings at the front of the section didn't enter my line sight at all, but that might be a different story for the fans in rows 1 and 2.

Bad accoustics, balcony obstructs view of screen

    Jun 2017

    Concert Review
    Section 225, Row 14, Seats 8-11

The acoustics under the overhanging balcony is terrible, with reverb and echoing occurring. Also, the tall viewscreen used in the U2 Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour had the top 1/3 of the screen chopped off by the balcony. The only way to view the top was to crouch down, which is impractical due to the rows ahead of this all standing up. U2 shows are almost always very visual (I've seen them on 4 tours now), and the obstruction was a real buzzkill.

    Terrible seats!

    Section 225

View obstructed by columns, missed plays in the middle of field! TV monitors were out of sync with plays. Sewage pipes started leaking smelly water on seats 3 rows in front of us.

For a Football Game, Avoid Section 225 Due to Potential Obstructions

Obstructed seating at Northwest Stadium is a major issue for football games. Seeing long passes, kicks and the scoreboards is difficult from 200-level sections on the North side of the field.

The upper deck hangs over the back part of sections 213-230. Rows 14-23 are the most obstructed and the level of obstruction becomes more severe the farther back you are.

    • 200 Level

      -

The 200 Level at Northwest Stadium contains a combination of the best and worst views for Commanders games and concerts. Best Views in the Stadium  Some of the best views in the stadium come from the first 8 rows in sideline sections on this level. These seats are 30-40 rows from the field and are an excellent choice for guests who like to keep a close eye on the game. Worst Views in the Stadium  If you're thinking about sitting in one of the higher rows on this level, use caution. At row 9: guests start to notice the overhang At row 11: the overhang starts to obstruct views of the field At row 14: views of the field become severely obstructed  We strongly advise against purchasing tickets in one of the obstructed rows. Some views are partially blocked, while the worst seats can barely see much of anything.
