Features & Amenities

Balcony Seats are the highest tier of seating at New Amsterdam Theatre. The balcony overhangs the Mezzanine Level below.

The level is split into a left, right and center section with most theater-goers preferring tickets in the center for its head-on location to the stage. Side sections are slightly larger with single-lettered rows A-L, while center section rows are labeled A-G.

Being on the third tier, this section will be notably high. Those with worries about heights or have trouble with steep steps may want to look for tickets on the lower tier.

Balcony Views

The best views in the balcony come from rows A-E closest to the center of the level. Since the level is tiered, the first row of the balcony is about as far as the last row of the Orchestra Level, but from a much higher vantage point.

Beware of rows J or higher in the side sections. In the back of the balcony are support poles that go up to the ceiling. While these are skinny and minimally invasive, they can provide a distraction and lead to partially obstructed views.

Note: Many seats listed under the side balcony sections are zone tickets. Zone tickets purchased are guaranteed to be to be on the Balcony Level in a row equal to or better than listed.

Note: These seats are highlighted on the map
