Best Seats at MSG: Section 208 Row 1

Nov 2012

Basketball Review
Section 208, Row 1, Seat 15

So, the first row in the 2nd deck of MSG this year comes with about 2 feet of extra legroom and a personal LCD flatscreen TV in front of your seat. Plus, there are cupholders on the rail (so much better than cupholders in the armrest) and a clear, unobstructed "video game" view of the court. They renovated the entire arena and this has to be the best place to sit in MSG (especially considering lower bowl costs upwards of $300 per ticket now). If you want an awesome Knicks or Rangers experience, this is absolutely the place to sit.

Best Seats in MSG: 1st Row, Personal HDTV, 25% More Legroom

Hockey Review
Section 208, Row 1, Seat 15

Actual 1st row (nobody is in front of you). You get a clear view of everything. Own personal HDTV (32-40 inches) right in front of your seat below your knees with the ability to choose what you watch. 25% more leg room. There's a convenient drink rail so you don't spill the drink. Because it's in the 2nd level, you won't find a better valued seat in Madison Square Garden. Best view is at half court. Seats more towards the corners are value sweet spots. Seats behind the basket are farther away from court.

Far Up in the Corner

Concert Review
Section 208, Row 22, Seat 24

Near the top of the section, the seats definitely feel far from the stage and the bridge above cuts down on the overall field of vision. The bridge doesn't block any part of the stage, however it does make it a bit distracting when you're trying to focus on the performance. Video monitors are a nice touch as the views are distant, but I'd rather be closer where I can see things better with my own eyes.

Great view of a wall

Hockey Review
Section 208, Row 16, Seats 3, 4

Quite possibly the worst seats in madsion square garden. Not only do you lose sight of the scoreboarf but also lose sighta of half the ice because of a section the jets out infront of your view. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Awful

Dec 2018

Concert Review
Section 208, Row 16

For the purposes of a concert there is a double obstructed view from the wall and the overhang. It's not great in row15 but 16 is just awful.

  • 200 Level

    -

The 200 Level seats at Madison Square Garden offer a variety of different experiences and price points. The upper rows in these sections are some of the cheapest tickets for Knicks and Rangers games, while lower rows along the side might have the best views at MSG. 200 Level Side Sections Sections along the side have up to 25 rows of seats with row 1 located at the front. The entrance tunnel is located at row 7, and we recommend sitting in the first six rows for the best views and most convenient access. The front rows in side sections have phenomenal club-like views for basketball and hockey games. For end-stage concerts, sections 212 and 223 are closest to the stage. A television monitor is setup near the ground at the front of each section. Guests in row 1 will be able to keep an eye on replays and stats. Meanwhile, the last row in many sections is labeled BS25 and includes barstool seats. 200 Level End Sections  Sections on the end of the 200 Level are much smaller than those along the side. Sections include just 3-6 rows of seats. Fans will find better views on the sideline, but the intimacy of these sections guarantees easy access to-and-from the seats. For many, this convenience is preferred over a sideline view (especially in a higher row). Rows labeled BS are at the back of most sections; these are bar-stool seats A television monitor is located at the front of each section  Sections 201-207 have a head-on view for end-stage concerts The Rangers shoot twice towards sections 215-220

  • "Surprisingly Empty"

    (Section 213) - -

Couldn't believe there weren't more people sitting on this section. Can't see the screen or the front of the performance, but neither can the full section next to this one. Clear view of the side of the stage without any obstructions.

  • "Directly in line with the stage"

    (Section 213) - -

This seat was all the way to the left in the section, so right next to 213. This was one of the last rows in the section, and they were pretty far up and far from the stage. But the view wasn't too bad. As budget seats for an expensive show, these are way better than sitting high up at the end of ...
