The most common seating layout at Colonial Life Arena for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 107, Section 108 and Section 109. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Floor: FLOOR is Floor Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, floor sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the floor layout and the views from each floor section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 105, Section 106 and Section 113. The view is not head-on like on the floor, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 101, Section 118, Section 201 and Section 202 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 107, Section 108, Section 109 and Section 110. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider floor seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst floor ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 104 and 115 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 209 and 221.

When sitting in the lower level baseline sections, fans not only have to be prepared for the larger seating area (at least 30 rows in each section) but will also need to take into account the viewing difficulties from sitting behind the basket.
Whenever possible, we recommend avoiding the lower rows in all sections - which is where the view will be most limited from being directly behind the basket.
Sitting higher in the section (Rows 20 and up) not only helps to limit the amount of the court which the basket can impact when it comes to your view, but also keeps you close to the entry tunnels at the top of the sections, and in a more affordable price range.
Lower Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
The lower level corner sections at Colonial Life have quite a few rows (more than 25 in all sections), but these seats tend to be more affordable than the lower level side seats. These seats won't have the center court view, but you will still be on a decent angle to enjoy the game without being behind the basket.
Lower Level Side (Basketball) Seating
The lower level side seats are going to be the best seats for taking in a basketball game at Colonial Life Arena. Sections 105 and 114 are going to have the best center court views, while the remaining sections will give fans a great view as well. If you are seated behind section 104 you will be behind the South Carolina team bench, while section 106 is behind the visiting team's bench.
Upper Level Baseline (Basketball) Seating
The views will be some of the furthest and most difficult from the upper level behind the baskets, but there are still a few pluses to considering seats in this area.
Firstly, the seating position allows you a head on view of all the action on the court. You won't have to turn your head at all to follow the game, providing a comfortable seating experience throughout all 4 quarters.
Lastly but certainly not least are the affordable prices. Consistently among the cheapest tickets for basketball games at Colonial Life Arena, fans working on a tight budget can find decent options.
Upper Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
Sections in the upper level corners is where you'll find some of the most affordable tickets without getting stuck directly behind the basket. The upper level corner sections actually give you a decent angle of the court due to the higher elevation. These seats are a great value and being higher up gives you great sight lines.
Upper Level Side (Basketball) Seating
The upper level side sections are going to have the best views out of any section in the 200 level. With no more than 18 rows in any section these seats offer that desired center court view, albeit with a higher elevation. Some might be turned off by sitting in the 200 level, but the center court view with the higher elevation allows you to see the entire court and take in all of the action.
Lower Level Side (Concert) Seating
The Lower Level Side sections are a fantastic choice when looking to see a concert at Colonial Life Arena. These sections are some of the closest to the stage and the elevation between rows make it easier for fans to see.
One slight downside is that the seats will be facing forward so you will have to slightly turn to see the stage. However, the proximity will usually trump this flaw for most people.
Upper Level Side (Concert) Seating
The Upper Level Side seats have 18 rows. The first three rows will have 24 seats with seat 1 always being on the right hand side when looking at the stage. Most rows after that will have 18 seats per row.
The upper level starts where the 100 level ends so there is quite a bit of distance between fans and the stage. However, if the 200 level sections are more in your budget, the sides are the best place to be.
