Section 101 Reviews

Ignored by the spinning stage

Mar 2019

Concert Review
Section 101, Row P, Seat 3

I bought these tickets close in the lower bowl fully expecting to have a great view for both the rodeo and the concert that night. The rodeo started out great! I could see all the action clearly, plus I was high enough in the section to comfortably see the far end of the arena where the bull riding took place. Once the concert began, I was very frustrated by the rotating stage. I completely understand wanting to spin the artist around for everyone in the arena to get a great view, but there was no rhythm to the stage's movement. On multiple occasions, the stage was finally about to face my section before some dummy would turn the stage back the same way it came! If you're going to rotate the stage, just keep it consistent the whole time without changing directions.

Pretty Good Spot in the Corner

Football Review
Section 101, Row X, Seat 15

I prefer to sit a little bit higher when in a corner section because it makes it easier to see down field, but this wasn't too bad. Seats are on a slight angle so your site line to the 50 is ideal. Best thing, though, is view of near endzone. A nice elevated perch to see goal line carries and end zone passes alike.

Great seats-close enough to the action.

  • Field Level

    -

The Field Level at NRG Stadium is all 100-Level sections. Tickets on this level are great for any event and bring fans close to the action or show on the field. Most sections contain 36 rows and are lettered from row A (closest to the field) to row Z, then followed by double-lettered rows AA to JJ (furthest from the field of play).  Entry tunnels are located at the top of each section, leaving the longest walks to fans closest to the bottom of the section. For Football Games Sections 105-108 are located behind the home team bench Choose rows Q or higher to see over the players on the sideline For the Rodeo The 100-level will extend by eight rows during the Rodeo. These extended sections are called action seats and bring fans even closer.

  • Field Level Corner (Basketball)

    -

Corner seating on the field level will receive a similar transformation as the sideline field level seats, with riser seating put in place closer to the court, followed behind by traditional stadium seats. All numbered rows in these sections are riser-style seats. These seats are not part of the permanent seating bowl at NRG Stadium. Instead, they are temporary sections of seats brought in just for the Final Four. The two biggest differences between these seats and the permanent seats is that the risers (ironically) do not rise as much from row-to-row. So you may be stuck behind a taller fan who blocks your view. Secondly, these risers seats aren't bolted down to the stadium foundation, so they may feel a little flimsy. Never-the-less, these seats still have a chairback and are the closer to the floor than the permanent seating. When considering these corner sections, keep in mind that the stadium was designed to see a football game spread across 100 yards and not a basketball game spanning 94 feet. As such, the angle of some of these corner sections is not ideal for basketball. Sections 102, 103, 110, 111, 122, 123, 131 and 132 have the worst sitelines among these corner sections. Try shooting for a section closer to the sideline (like 104) or go to a deep corner section (like 112 or 113) where you'll have a more comfortable view of the court.

  • Field Level Corner (Football)

    -

Field level corner seating is located on the closest tier to the field of play and in between the sidelines and endzones. Comprised of 3 sections in each of the 4 corners of the stadium, fans will experience unique diagonal views of the action and have some of the best views for touchdowns at the near endzone. Most sections in this location contain 36 rows of seating, beginning with single lettered rows closest to the field (Row A being at the front), followed by doubled lettered rows behind (Row JJ located at the very top). Player entry tunnels are located in the northeast and northwest corners, making Sections 112-114 and 119-121 a fun place to be during the pregame entrances.

These seats were hand-selected for being close to a wide-range of amenities. They are within five rows of the concourse (fewer stairs) and there is a men’s restroom, women’s restroom and concessions near this section.
