Iron Bowl Headlines Last Week of Regular Season

When the season began, a lot of college football fans circled November 30th as a day to look forward to. The last day of the regular season is usually chock full of rivalry games, and this year was to be no different. In South Carolina, Clemson and the Gamecocks both opened the season as Top 10 teams. Further south, Florida and Florida State opened the season somewhere in the Top 15. And the always feverish Michigan/Ohio State rivalry looked to be rekindled as both teams were Big Ten favorites. While both Clemson and South Carolina have lived up to the Top 10 hype, it's another rivalry game that's stealing the show this year. The 78th Iron Bowl between #1 Alabama and #4 Auburn has turned into one of the most important games of the season (and one of the most expensive).

As of this writing on Wednesday afternoon, the cheapest Iron Bowl tickets are $300 each and the average ticket price is more than $500 -- making it the most expensive game of the weekend. It's also more expensive than the Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Fiesta Bowl. If you are planning on trying to get your hands on some Auburn/Alabama tickets this weekend, here are some tips to help you find the best seats!

Jordan Hare Stadium Seating Tips

  • Sections 24-34 and 99-114 are on the sunny (East) side of the stadium. It's supposed to be cold on Saturday!
  • The only chairback seating is found in the Club Level. All other seating is bleacher-style without backs.
  • The lower level walkway is in between Rows 27 and 28. Sitting close to these rows minimizes your walks to restrooms and concessions, but if you're in Rows 28-30 people will constantly be in your way.
  • The entrance to seating in the Upper Level is at Row 3. With up to 36 rows in these sections, choosing a lower row means less of a hike up the stairs.
