  • Section 132 Reviews

Doesn't get much better for bringing your kids to the game

    Apr 2014

    Baseball Review
    Section 132, Row 12, Seat 10

With row 1 being right up against the field in Section 132, my seat in Row 12 was very close to the field. Decent elevation above the field level gives good views of the field but you will be blocked out from seeing any scorchers hit down the first base line and into the right field corner. I wish the seats had been angled a bit better as you were pointed directly at the left field foul pole and have to look to your left to watch home plate and the pitchers mound. I was there early for an 7:10 game, and would recommend hanging out in the concourse until the sun goes down below the Houston skyline before venturing to Row 12 (sun was directly in my eyes while watching batting practice). Its a lengthy walk to get to the seats from the entry tunnel located at row 40 (top of the section), but the aisles are not too steep and a hand railing is there to make the walk down safer and easier. The Minute Maid Squeeze Play area is located just outside this section and behind the concourse, making it a great option for families headed to an Astros Game. The kids will also have a great head on view of the home train in left field, and restrooms and concessions are available just outside the section entrance. Viewing the main scoreboard is difficult though, as you will need to turn your entire body to see the large screen which sits above the seats in right field.

    • Field Boxes

      -

Fans sitting down the line will want to sit on the third base side in order to get the shade first. These fans will also have a better view at the scoreboard in Right Field. Among the best down the line seats in all of baseball, Sections 106 and 107 have an outstanding angle towards home plate and a great view of the scoreboard. For your best chance at a foul ball, try sections 109-111 or 127-132. The netting has swallowed up a number of balls, but souvenirs do occasionally reach the seats.

    • For Baseball - Recommended For Kids and Family

      -

Closest sections to the Kids Zone, featuring speed pitch, batting practice, a juice bar and family picnic tables. At field level, but far enough from home plate to not be overly concerned about dangerous foul balls. Head-on view of the train above left-field

    • "Seats are too small (narrow), row is crowded and cramped"

      (Section 131) - -

The view from this seat is good and you are in a good area for foul balls and the 6th inning T-Shirt toss. But, the seats are small, cramped and uncomfortable. The row is crowded. I am a season ticket holder and I never see the same people. I feel like I am the only season ticket holder in this sect...
