    Blocked out by a beam

    Sep 2013

    Football Review
    Section 226, Row 18, Seat 30

My seats were on the second seating tier and underneath the overhang from the 300 level seats above, however the beams that support that deck really hinder the view when you get higher than row 14 and near the aisles. It was difficult to see the videoboards, and I could only see the plays on the turf when the ball was on the right half of the field. The seat was in the very last row of the section which kept me close to the concourse and the restrooms, but there were limited food and drink options at the few carts that were available behind the section. I would strongly caution against seats 28 and higher when in rows 15 and up in section 226 unless you prefer having a giant beam directly in your line of sight.

For a Football Game, Avoid Section 226 Due to Potential Obstructions

Support beams near the aisles will limit the view from certain seats in rows 15 and higher in Sections 201, 202B, 225B-228B and 250B. To reduce the risk of an obstructed view in Rows 15-18, avoid the low and high numbered seats and opt for seats near the middle of the row (seats 10-20 will eliminate the view obstruction).

    • 200 Level

      -

The 200 Level at MetLife Stadium is also known as the Mezzanine Level. Fans looking at tickets in this area will have a choice between an end section and sections on the side. Side Sections  Sections on the side of the 200 Level are also known as the Mezzanine Club. These seats are larger than other mezzanine seats and have direct access to the indoor club lounge. The lounge is exclusive to club ticketholders and is a popular place before concerts, at halftime of football games, and when the weather takes a turn for the worst. End Sections  For a cheaper ticket on the 200 level, consider an end section. These end seats are split up into lower and upper sections. Most lower sections have an "A" in their name, while upper sections usually end in "B". The lower (A) sections hang over the 100 Level, resulting in excellent views that are closer than expected. All-in-all, we think these are some of the most under-rated seats at MetLife. One common complaint about end sections is the lack of nearby concessions/amenities. If you like to eat a lot or get up and down often, consider sitting elsewhere.

    • Mezzanine Endzone (Football)

      -

The mezzanine sits on the second tier of MetLife Stadium. In the endzone, ticketholders will appreciate the perspective from in front and behind the line of scrimmage, with a good elevation which allows fans to see all areas of the field. Mezzanine Endzone A sections are located in the lower portion of this seating area (with 12 to 15 numbered rows of seating), while Mezzanine Endzone B sections are located just above and slightly further back from the field (slightly larger with 15 to 18 rows of seating). Mezzanine B sections are some of the best non-premium seating options for fans looking for protection from the weather as they are almost entirely covered by the upper level seating deck.

    • Obstructed Seating

      -

Support beams near the aisles will limit the view from certain seats in rows 15 and higher in Sections 201, 202B, 225B-228B and 250B. To reduce the risk of an obstructed view in Rows 15-18, avoid the low and high numbered seats and opt for seats near the middle of the row (seats 10-20 will eliminate the view obstruction).
