Our seats were amazing and worth every dollar!

    Section 102, Row 12, Seats 35 & 36

This was our first ever Gorge experience and it did not disappoint. Because seating charts thru Ticketmaster and such don't give the full effect of what your seat location would actually be like, and there weren't many photos posted at the time on this site either, I was on a mission to take photos and videos that might help another newbie to the Gorge to decide whether they wanted to have a budget experience up on the grassy know or pay more to be close to the stage. We decided to go for seats in the center section on the floor since this was our first time seeing Brandi Carlile, Sarah McLachlan, and Lucuius. We were slightly left of center stage and our chairs in this section were padded. Although we stood for about 3/4 of time there were HUGE high-def screens with live concert footage so either way you go, you won't miss anything. The crowd, staff, and vendors were all super friendly and everything is amazingly well organized for such a large event. Food and drink is pricey so we skipped that and bought band merch instead. The view coming into the concert area is AMAZING! Next time, if we get floor seats again, we'll hang out on the grass for part of the concert during the day to take in more of the view and then stay on the floor when the sun goes down. It can get chilly when the sun goes to so layer (or have layers to put on) to keep comfortable. Check out video from the concert here: Sarah McLachlan - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3C9WJK9_c8 BCB - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZksLQzYid4 Side Note: if you want to camp, go for Premiere camping. The walk to the concert venue isn't that far and they run shuttles too. You'll have access to multiple (very clean) port-a-potty's and hand wash station PLUS indoor toilets and showers :).

    • 100 Reserved

      -

For fans wanting to get close to the stage but worried about not having a physical seat to sit in, the 100 Reserved area is an ideal choice. All seats in section 102 are guaranteed to have a clear view to the entire stage since the section is centered. Section 101 and 103 can create some bad angles to the stage, but still provide close views. The best seats in section 101 are the higher numbered seats (30 and above) while the best seats in section 103 are the lower numbers (seats 1-16).  Reserved seating does lose the scenic views of the lawn, however anyone with a reserved ticket will be able to go to the lawn to take in the sights or head to the "View Bar" located directly west of the stage.

    • Floor Seats

      -

Floor seats at Gorge Amphitheatre are at the bottom of the steep lawn near the stage. Tickets in these sections are great for fans looking to have the closest views to the performance. The best options to get near the stage are in sections 101-103. If the budget allows, we suggest tickets in section 102 for perfectly centered views. Considerations When Buying Floor Tickets  Due to the wide footprint, the angles to the stage in 101 and 103 can get severe causing an obstructed view of the stage. The front of the stage will be visible, but elements like video screens further back may be out of view. The entire floor is on a flat concrete slab. This means there is very little elevation between rows or sections which can make views more difficult for those in the back of sections. Choose rows near the front of the section for better sight lines. All seats are metal folding chairs. These are not the most comfortable, but most fans elect to stand during the show anyway. For fans who prefer to sit in a comfortable padded seat, the box seats may be a better option. Limited Scenic Views  The downside of reserved seating is that you lose the elevation compared to the lawn seating behind you. What many consider to be so spectacular about the Gorge is the backdrop of the canyon and Columbia River behind the stage. With floor seating being at stage level, much of that view is blocked out. Those with assigned seats will still be able to access the lawn at any time to take in these views and return to their seats. We recommend doing this during the opening acts near sunset. Pit Tickets  For some shows the seats will be removed completely from the floor in front of the stage and the area becomes a general admission pit. Tickets to a pit section give fans access to an area on the floor and views are first-come, first-serve.
