Seat Ratings Mentioning Shade/Cover

"Spring Training - Pittsburgh Pirates at Baltimore Orioles - Mar 1, 2025" - ★★★★★
Section 215, Row 10
Seats were excellent and in the shade, which is what we wanted. Great view of the field. We arrived late and had to park down and across the road, but they had great attendants. Not sure of the cost difference. I should have paid ahead for a parking ticket. Very nice field, seating in general, small, and convenient to Bradenton. Great experience!...More

"VERY Sunny" - ★★★
Section 219, Row 5
You are looking into the sun for much of the game in these seats. It was very hot and at times uncomfortable. The views were good along the infield. I would probably choose seats on the first base side next time to have the sun at my back. There is not much shade in the seats anywhere in the park....More

"Spring Training - Tampa Bay Rays at Baltimore Orioles - Mar 8, 2025" - ★★★
Section 108, Row 12
Under cover, out of sun whole game. Good view of field from that height. Bathrooms and beverages up a couple rows. Easy exit....More
At Ed Smith Stadium, the most shaded seats are located in the upper level (200 level), where overhead coverage provides consistent protection from the sun. On the third base side (sections 215–223), rows 9 and above benefit from this coverage, offering shade throughout the game.
While the first base side is generally the sunniest, sections 203–211 on the upper level provide relief, with rows 7 and above becoming shaded during afternoon games as the sun shifts behind the grandstand. For complete sun protection and added comfort, the Third Base Lounge (sections A, B, C) offers fully covered, shaded seating along with access to an indoor bar area.
