The second tier at Durham Performing Arts Center is known as the balcony level. This level is not located far away from the stage. Therefore, it can feel like the view of the show beneath you can be at a slightly steep angle. The difference between sitting on the balcony level and sitting on the grand tier level is significant.  However, sitting in the balcony still provides a great view of the show at DPAC. If you decide to sit in the balcony sections, we recommend treating yourself to a seat in the middle of section 9. Note that for some shows, the upper half of the balcony section will be inaccessible. All shows will include a balcony section that goes back to row H, but for the biggest shows at DPAC, it will go all the way back to row P. If you're considering sitting in the balcony for an upcoming show at DPAC, take a look at our seat views for each section and know exactly what to expect when you attend a show.
