    Avoid the aisle seats here

    Sep 2014

    Infield Reserve 5, Row B, Seat 19

At Row B I was just the second row from the front of the section, and was seated on the left aisle. Aisle seats are usually my preference as it gives me quick and easy access going to and from, but these aisle seats put you in a difficult place to watch the game due to the guard railing at the bottom of the walkway. There is a taller portion of the guard railing located at the very bottom of the steps, which comes into the field of vision starting between shortstop and third base. It could have been much worse had the railing obstructed my view of the pitchers mound or batters box, but it was still annoying and frustrating none the less. Especially frustrating when you realize that without that railing stepping into the field of view, these seats would have an amazing upper level view for a Dodgers game! Legroom was OK for an upper level seat, and was glad to not be in the front row where leg room appeared to be almost non-existent. As crazy as it sounds, I would have traded my aisle seat for a middle seat just to get a clear view of the field from that perspective.

    • Reserve Level

      -

The Blue Shield Reserve Level is the largest seating tier in Dodger Stadium. It is so large there are two levels within it.  Views can vary greatly due to the size of the level which spans from foul pole to foul pole so it is important to compare tickets when looking to make a purchase. Lower Reserve  Lower reserve sections have the "LR" or "IR" after the section number. These sections are lower in elevation. Row are single lettered from A-V with A being at the bottom of the section. The entire level shares a concourse, so fans will enter the section from the back nearest Row V and head down toward their seats. Sometimes "VIP" or "MVP" designations are given based on the row.  VIP: Rows A-H MVP: Rows J-V Sections 1-11 are the best seats in the location being behind home plate. They also will not have upper reserve sections above them making them slightly less crowded. Value Reserve  Value Reserve sections are in the upper portion of the Reserve Level and have the letter "R" after the section number. Rows will be double lettered with Row AA being at the front nearest the concourse tunnels. The benefit of these over the lower sections is that they are smaller and some offer shaded options. Fans who prefer to be in the shade might want to consider the last few rows of Infield Reserved sections 1 through 11 as they will be protected by the overhanging Upper Deck sections above.

    • Recommended For Views of the Mountains

      -

Excellent natural sight lines to the Santa Monica mountains beyond center field. Beyond the Top Deck overhang for a more open vertical view of the scenic backdrop. Largest area of the mountains is nicely positioned between the videoboards

    • Recommended For Great Views of the Field

      -

Lower rows of the infield reserve feel surprisingly close for an upper seating tier. Clear lines of sight to all areas of the field including the corners. Requires little to no head turning to follow the game
