More Information About Buell Theatre

Constructed in the late 1980s, the Buell Theatre was designed with an open glass front to harmonize with
the surrounding structures in the complex. Preserving the integrity of the original auditorium, the
exterior retained its initial walls, while over eight thousand pieces of sandstone sourced from a quarry
in Lyons, Colorado were employed to create new interior walls. This choice of soft stone not only
contributes to the aesthetic appeal but also provides an acoustically conducive environment, ensuring
optimal conditions for amplified performances.
