Best Seats For a Concert at Smoothie King Center
The most common seating layout at Smoothie King Center for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 116, Section 117 and Section 118. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Floor: Sections Floor A, Floor B, Floor C and Floor D are Floor Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, floor sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the floor layout and the views from each floor section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 113, Section 114 and Section 123. The view is not head-on like on the floor, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 106, Box 106, Section 107 and Box 107 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 116, Section 117, Section 118 and Section 119. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider floor seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst floor ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 102 and 111 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 317 and 331.

Aside from the more affordable pricing, the corner sections on the Balcony level leave much to be desired. The views are less than ideal, and concessions can be very scarce as well (sitting in Section 304 will leave you no less than a 2 section walk to the nearest option, NOLA Popcorn).
The even numbered rows is where you will find the entry tunnels, as well as available areas for handicap accessible seating. Odd numbered sections have a continuous seating layout which start with Row 1 at the front, and extends as far as Row 20 in some corners.
Your best bet here is to stay within the first 6 rows of Section 313. You'll be close to the entry tunnels at the front of neighboring Sections 312 and 314, good concession options are nearby, and you'll be close to the Pelicans team bench.
Balcony End (Basketball) Seating
Best suited for those looking for a social outing at a game, the Balcony End sections won't have much to write home about when it comes to views. Being far from the action and behind the baskets does come with one advantage however, which is the cheap ticket price.
One of the most unique areas on the Balcony Level is the Bandstand Bar (also known as the Party Perch), which can be found in the middle of Section 323. Live music during and after the game are a big attraction here which bring fans together to socialize and enjoy their trip to the arena.
Sections have as many as 18 numbered rows of seating, but you'll only find the entry tunnels in the even numbered sections. Handicap seating is more scarce in these sections, so we recommend searching the corners or sidelines for those needing handicap or wheelchair accessible seats.
Balcony Side (Basketball) Seating
The upper seating tier is often commonly referred to as the Balcony level, and is a popular choice for fans working with a tighter budget. You can find good views in the sideline sections, but due to the center court positioning, these are often the most expensive of the Balcony options.
Sections on the south sideliine are slightly larger featuring up to 20 numbered rows of seating, while those on the north sideline are smaller (up to 16 numbered rows) due to the press box just above the last row. Entry tunnels are placed in the even numbered sections only, and are located just above Row 2. As a result, you won't find any seating in Rows 3-4 within the even numbered sections, while the odd numbered sections run continuously from Row 1 to Row 20.
Some of the best views here are found in Sections 332, while those who prefer a more social atmosphere will want to be near Shooters Bar just outside Section 314.
Lower Corner (Basketball) Seating
With the sideline sections on the lower level carrying a high price due to the premium amenities, the corner sections are left as the best place to find good views in the lower bowl without having to pay for the additional luxuries.
None of the sections here extend all the way to the floor, but fans can still find good views - with one of our favorite options being Section 109 where you have a good seating angle and line of sight to the Pelicans bench.
There are no more than 21 numbered rows in each section, making them the smallest of the options on the lower tier. Unlike the neighboring sideline sections, entry tunnels here are located above the very last row. Handicap accessible seating is available at the top of all Lower Level Corner sections.
Lower End (Basketball) Seating
Fans can find better views within the lower seating bowl, but it will be difficult to find a cheaper ticket price than the baseline sections when it comes to seats on the first tier. The higher numbered seats in Section 106 and 118, as well as the lower numbered seats in Sections 107 and 119 will put you directly behind the basket where the views are most challenging, so we recommend avoiding these whenever possible.
Sections at the east baseline are slightly smaller due to the Loge Box seats above, and run from Rows AA-BB at the front, and continue with numbered rows 1-23 behind. Behind the west basket, the layout is very similar however the sections extend as far back as Row 26 as there are no loge box options at this end of the arena.
Lower Sideline (Basketball) Seating
You won't find many seating options with better views than the sideline sections on the lower seating tier. For a lower level these sections are fairly large with up to 26 rows of seating, however you'll never feel far from the action at all with any seat here.
Handicap accessible seating is available in the last rows of all Lower Level Sideline sections (Row 26), and entry tunnels to the main concourse are located at Row 19. A great option here is to sit in Sections 101 or 124 at Rows 15-20, where you have excellent viewing height, close access to the concourse, center court positioning, and head on views of the team benches.
