If you're considering seats on the infield, keep in mind that there is a reason that sections 116-118 are among the most expensive. Because the seating flares out so quickly, these are the only seats that make you feel like you're on top of the action. Sections 119-122 are above the A's dugout, while 112-115 are above the visitor's dugout. Row 5 is the first row behind each dugout.

The farther down the line you go, the better the seats get. They are closer to the field and the bowl shape gives them an impressive angle towards home plate. Sections 106-108 and 126-128 would typically be havens for foul balls -- but this is not your typical stadium. You can still catch foul balls there, but you'll want to sit as close to the field as possible to increase your odds. Target sections 126-129 for an up-close view of the A's bullpen and consider sections 105-108 for a look at the visitor's when they warm up.

The Oakland Coliseum bleachers are not for the faint of heart. Besides for a reputation as being a tad rowdy towards visiting fans, these sections bake in the afternoon sun. Try to avoid them if you're bringing children. But if you're still a child at heart, grab your glove and head towards the first five rows (27-31) in these sections for your best chance at a home run ball. Finding a bathroom near the bleachers won't be hard, but finding a beverage will be. Choose sections 134 or 150 to be close to the main concourse and a cold beverage.

The Plaza level is made up of 200 level seating and has only 12 rows in most sections. Choose sections 215-219 for your best chance at staying out of the sun and seeing the action. If you're bringing kids, try to get as close to 220 as possible. The Stomper Fun Zone is located here and provides an interactive area for kids to test their baseball skill.

Food and restrooms down the line on the plaza level are scarce. In fact, there's only one food stand that serves the last 7 sections down each line. This means a longer walk for you and long lines once you get there. Drink that soft drink too quickly and have to run to the restroom? You literally might want to run. There's only one men's and women's restroom serving the last 12 sections down each line.

Intimate sections in the outfield with lots of wheelchair accessible seating available. About a mile away from the action and you can't see either scoreboard. Amenities are few and far between but the sun will be plenty. Only good if you're going to a Raiders game.

The value deck at the Coliseum includes the three sections in the upper deck where fans can still sit. Like all seats in the ballpark, these are pretty far from the action. However, the home plate view of these seats make them one of the better deals in the ballpark. Plus, the sun is behind the seats for late afternoon and evening games.
