Seven Outdoor Shows Between May 17th and August 2nd
Billy Joel has been a staple at Madison Square Garden in 2014, appearing monthly through November. But beginning May 17th, he's taking his famed piano outdoors.
He'll make three stops at the Hollywood Bowl in in Southern California before heading East and playing at two historic ballparks and two newly-constructed parks.
All outdoor stops include:
- Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles) May 17th, 22nd and 27th
- Fenway Park (Boston) June 26th
- Wrigley Field (Chicago) July 18th
- Nationals Park (Washington, DC) July 26th
- Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia) August 2nd
Billy Joel Seating Charts
Ballparks make interesting venues for concerts. In fact, many of the best seats for a baseball game are among the worst for a concert. Here are some general tips to help you out:
- Billy Joel's stage is in Center Field for all shows at a baseball stadium
- Sitting in a low row behind home plate is too far away and not enough height
- Many seats down the line are angled towards home plate - not center field
- Seats on the field are exponentially better the closer you get
- Expect to stand the whole time if seated on the field
